How to install and configure the Password Management Console?

This procedure describes the installation of the Password Management Console

Download and install the Console

Download the Console through the following link: Download Password Management Console and then follow the steps below for installation

Step 1

The Console installation procedure consists simply of running the installer

Step 2

Enter the Active Directory credentials that you will configure in the Boardgent console. These credentials must have sufficient privileges to read the attributes of the objects in Active Directory

Step 3

After connection with credentials, go to the option "settings" and configure the attributes of the organization. This configuration will depend on the services you have purchased and implemented: BIOS Password, Administrator Password, or BitLocker Recovery Keys

The information stored by Boardgent in each attribute is detailed below:

BIOS Password

  • BIOS Expiration: this attribute stores the expiration date of the password assigned to the computer's BIOS

  • BIOS Password: this attribute stores the password generated by Boardgent that can later be consulted to access the computer's BIOS

  • Settings: this attribute stores additional information and computer BIOS properties

Admin Password

  • User Admin Expiration: this attribute stores the expiration date of the password assigned to the Windows administrator user

  • User Password: this attribute stores the password generated by Boardgent for the Windows administrator account on the computer

BitLocker

  • BitLocker Key: This attribute stores the Bitlocker security key

  • BitLocker Key Password: This attribute stores the password generated by BitLocker to decrypt hard drives on computers
